Situated in a bay, this bastion of quiet and serenity is secluded, with no neighbours. Each room in the cottage views onto the lake except one, which gets a view of a 90' rock wall. The flagstone steps meander down to two great areas to play at the water; from the dock, or from the fire pit where stairs lead you down onto the beach.
The Great room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows plus a floor-to-ceiling Rumford wood-burning fireplace which provides a comfy setting to sit and relax; to read, socialize or just view the lake. The main floor also includes a sunroom, mudroom, office and walk-in pantry. The open concept kitchen is fully stocked with a Jenn-Air gas stove, Miele dishwasher, garbage compactor, wine fridge and large refrigerator with freezer. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining room with a walk-out to the deck for outdoor eating, or doors to the screened-in porch complete with wood-burning fireplace. A view of the surrounding forest and the sound of waterfalls nearby are a few of the sights and sounds you can enjoy in the porch.
Large, bright windows grace every room in the walk-out basement. There is a guest suite with a Queen sized bed and two comfy reading chairs; the second bedroom contains two twin beds and the bathroom on this floor is a spa bathroom with a walk-in shower as well as a sauna fit for 6 people. The TV room has a big-screen TV, DVD player, DVD library and an air hockey game.
The third (upper) floor consists of a master bedroom with a king size bed and a stunning view of the lake and a 4pc master bathroom complete with a double-sink vanity, a large spa shower, and a sunken bath overlooking the 90ft rock wall. Two other bedrooms on this floor have double beds.

Indoor: Walk out basement with full windows in basement. Sunroom with gas fireplace, screened in porch with wood burning fireplace. Grand room with wood burning fireplace.Outdoor: 1,100 feet of lake frontage on Lake Kennisis. Shoreline is walk-in beach. Dock area deep for recreation. Walking trails on 14 acres of property.
- We had such a lovely stay at Sunset Cove, it was difficult to leave at the end of the week. The cottage is absolutely stunning, and it came well equipped with supplies and activities. With he multi-leveled layout there is lots of room. The hiking trails on the property led to beautiful views of Kennisis Lake; one, an amazing lookout over the lake, and the other, a serene spot in a quiet nature reserve inlet. The property is in a small bay, which made it somewhat private and protected from the large waves when the wind picked up, so swimming off of the dock was easy and enjoyable. If given the opportunity, we would jump at the chance to return to Sunset Cove, it was an amazing vacation home!
