This stunning all season vacation home is located on Growler Lake (formerly known as Bat Lake). The cottage faces north west and offers 230 feet of lake frontage.
Rentals come with 2 canoes and 2 paddle boards. Renters must provide their own life jackets, they are not provided by the cottage owners due to liability reasons. This lake is spring fed and is great for those who like fishing (small mouth bass and lake trout).
The shoreline is deep water off the dock and natural rocky shoreline. There is no boat launch as this lake does not allow personal watercraft such as, but not limited to, jet skis or seadoos
This 5 bedroom completely finished cottage offer 2 kings, double over double bunkbeds, a queen, and a double, see gallery of pictures. Renters must provide their own linens, pillow cases and personal, bath and beach towels. There are 3-1/2 bathrooms and 3 ensuites (master ensuite with toilet, bath and shower), 2 ensuites (toilet and shower) and a main floor powder room.
A large open concept kitchen highlighted with a centre island and seating around the island makes this kitchen an incredibly delightful place to be creative. All amenities are included with stainless steel built in appliances and a main floor laundry room.
There is a formal dining area which seats 8-10 people comfortably offering large picture windows with an awesome view of the lake.
There are 2 fireplaces, one gas and one wood. A stone floor to ceiling gas fireplace is a focal point in the main floor living room with large picture windows overlooking the lake and there is a stove fireplace in the lower level family/living/recreation room with a TV. This room is a wonderful place for board games (provided) and movies (provided) in case the weather is a tad off the mark. Unlimited internet and WIFI are available along with Apple TV and Netflix - there is no satellite TV available. There is also a TV in the bunk beds room on the ground floor.
There are 2 BBQs on the large deck overlooking the lake and there is a patio table and also a separate sitting/lounging area plus a bistro set for 2 to kick back and relax.
And don't forget the winter!!! Acres and acres of land for hiking and snow shoeing and snow- mobiling and of course Sir Sam's alpine skiing is about 45 min. away.
For winter renters we highly recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access this vacation home.
If renters are bringing their own water crafts (canoes, kayaks, etc.), they MUST BE POWER WASHED PRIOR TO PUTTING THEM IN THE LAKE. This is to prevent the spread of invasive species to our lake. THANK YOU!
The Spiny Water Flea has successfully invaded many lakes in our direct vicinity, so the danger to our lake is very real. In order to assure that our lake remains uninfected, if you are bringing your own water crafts (canoes, kayaks, etc.), as a responsible renter you MUST:
(i) wash all watercraft thoroughly with the hose and water provided at the cottage, even if previously done elsewhere.
(ii) Ensure that all bilge water is thoroughly drained from your watercraft far away from the lake prior to launch.
Please be considerate that all noise carries daily across our lake. (i.e. music on dock). There is an outside noise restriction of 11pm SHARP. If you cannot be respectfully quiet while outside and also follow the 11pm restriction then this is NOT the place for you.

We had a wonderful time last week at Moose Lodge. The house was perfect for our family. Growler Lake is beautiful, offering privacy, quiet, rugged beauty, and great bass fishing. We had some great walks around the lake, had lots of fun photographing mushrooms, and met several friendly homeowners.

$50/dog will be charged to basic rental rates
A check out cleaning can be arranged to be done on your behalf for $150 cash to be left at cottage upon your departure - please advise at time of booking if interested in having this put in place for you upon departure - the removal of all garbage and personal food items will remain the responsibility of the renter
